CNC Folders

When forming panels, wrappers, sides, drawers, cabinets, doors and similar parts, it is often a better solution to utilize a folder. A folder is a gentle bending process in which the part is supported on a backgauge table and the folding(forming) of the part takes place to the front by means of a moving rotating beam. The material is clamped and the folding and gauging takes place under CNC control with the operator only making sure the part is up against the gage stops. This is particularly effective for large or heavy parts. Also, a typical range of thicknesses can be bent with the same tools and minimal time changeovers between part runs. Accuracy is consistent and reliable.

A range of folders exists to satisfy the wide-range of industry parts from HVAC and architectural to Heavy Duty Construction Equipment/Farm Equipment type parts to which folders are suited. Machines are selected by thickness capacity and length of bend or part. Backgauge configurations are available to suit part requirements. Programmable controls require simple data input.
